One of the privileges of working with great partners like Kit Carson Electric Cooperative Inc. is the opportunity to join their conversation with the local community. We were excited to meet recently with Net Metering Advisory group and Renewable Taos to share our work on understanding and managing the role of local solar generation in KCEC’s grid.

Taos is a vibrant community which reflects many of the constituencies and issues at the core of the energy transition – from making clean energy accessible to everyone through community solar development, to leveraging the resilience and decarbonization potential of distributed energy resources, to keeping energy prices affordable, they’re tackling the problems of tomorrow’s grid right now.

While this isn’t a problem that technology alone can solve, technology is a big part of making it possible. That’s why we’re excited to work with folks like KCEC and the Taos community, to lend our experience with world-class distributed systems engineering to the unique challenges of supporting the energy transition.
