Holy Cross Energy

Challenge

Holy Cross Energy came to us with the ambitious goal to transition from a coal-heavy power mix to 100% carbon-free electricity by 2030.

Solution

With the help of Camus’ grid orchestration software, Holy Cross has leveraged greater than 6 MW of local distributed energy resources (DERs), including utility-scale solar plus storage, residential batteries, and EV charging equipment, to lower peak energy costs and deliver affordable, reliable, and sustainable electricity.

Challenge

Kit Carson Electric Cooperative came to Camus Energy with a simple, yet ambitious goal: to enable safe and reliable operations with 100% daytime power supply from local solar.

Solution

Camus’ grid orchestration platform helped KCEC improve operational visibility by bringing together data from utility software systems, community-scale solar arrays, and rooftop solar installations into a comprehensive, real-time view. With AI-powered forecasting and visibility into voltage and power quality data, KCEC reached its 100% daytime solar goal in the summer of 2022, achieving $10 million in annual savings.
