Camus is expanding its business development and customer success teams with four new additions, bringing extensive industry experience from GE Vernova, Opus One Solutions, Oracle, Centrica, and McKinsey & Company.
The new Camus team members include Vice President of Customer Success, Sarah Colvin and Director of Technical Delivery, Rebecca Butler. Laura Bacon and Diego Ramirez Aguilar each join as a Director of Business Development.
In her new role, Sarah will lead the expansion of Camus’ Customer Success team, working hand-in-hand with utility customers to address the evolving needs of utilities nationwide. Her team will leverage advisory boards, customer surveys, and user groups to address customer needs through Camus’ product and partner roadmaps. She’ll also oversee the implementation of new self-service and training tools for customers to guarantee fast and responsive service. In addition to her work ensuring customer satisfaction and growth, Sarah plans to amplify customer success stories and best practices for orchestrating the clean energy grid.
Sarah brings to Camus experience from across the industry including time at utility, device, and software companies. Before Camus, she served as VP of Customer Success for GE’s digital grid software division, GE Vernova. Her resume includes roles at ecobee, GrandBridge Energy, and serving on numerous boards including the Association of Energy Services Professionals and the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation.
“I’ve been immensely impressed with Camus’ ability to develop new grid orchestration solutions and quickly get them into the hands of customers,” Colvin said. “The future of the grid relies on engaging distributed resources in a scalable and highly-reliable way, and this team does it like no one else, unifying utility data from across silos to inform proactive DER management through our VPP partners. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with forward-looking utilities, meeting them where they’re at and illuminating the path forward during this time of unprecedented transformation.”
Rebecca Butler joins Colvin’s team, bringing customer success and engineering experience from Opus One Solutions and Oracle. Laura Bacon comes to the business development team from renewable energy consultant Tradition Energy, with former roles at Centrica and GE. Diego Ramirez Aguilar brings business development and growth experience from his past roles at CrossBoundary, IGNIS Energia, and McKinsey & Company.
“Our platform works so well, in large part because we engage with our customers as partners; Sarah, Rebecca, Laura, and Diego are helping to grow and enhance those relationships,” said Atkinson, CEO of Camus. “The insights we gain from working alongside utilities large and small make our platform and our team better. I’m excited to be growing our organization and look forward to seeing our impact scale with a diverse and rapidly-expanding set of utilities.”
